The GB Lwt 4-, containing John Hale and Charlie Pitt Ford, came 4th in the final at this year’s World University Championships in Hungary. The crew did not manage to reproduce their form from the heats, and a strong cross-headwind gave a slight advantage to France and Hungary. The GB crew fought with Hungary down the entire course, but Hungary took the home advantage to claim bronze.
