Last week CULRC travelled down to the Tideway for a full weekend of racing. A solid performance was set down against a strong London RC lightweight crew, particularly in the “competitive paddling” session.
This was followed by a set of three races against the CULRC alumni, who had put out a star-studded crew containing past Olympians and several recent CULRC members (Mark Aldred, Charlie Pitt Ford, Alex Higgs, Chris Kerr). However, this proved no match for the current squad who won each of the 500m pieces comfortably.
On the Sunday, the squad trained with Imperial College’s lightweight crew, pulling out convincing leads in all four sprint pieces.
All in all a good weekend’s racing!
